From Team Knight Rider press kit:

Brixton Karnes stars as commander Kyle Stewart, a former CIA spy whose field experience and know-how make him the perfect leader in Team Knight Rider

Born and raised in Syosset, N.Y., Karnes eventually moved to New York City where he was cast in several commercials before deciding to drive his motorcycle cross-country to Los Angeles. His first big break was a guest-starring role in the NBC television series The Father Dowling Mysteries. Recurring roles in popular soap operas such as Days of Our Lives and The Young and the Restless soon followed. His other television credits include a recurring role in the 1995 CBS series The Client with John Hurt and JoBeth Williams and guest-starring roles in Murder, She Wrote, SIlk Stalkings and Sisters. Karnes' film credits include a feature role in Soapdish, with Sally Field and Whoopi Goldberg, Tank Girl with Lori Petty and Miramax's Malevolence.

Karnes is currently a member of the Hudson Guild Theater Company in Los Angeles where he has starred in productions of Passing Room, The Lower Depths, The Misanthrope and Lysistrata. Other theater credits include A Few Good Men and The Taming of the Shrew.

Karnes participates in triathalons and marathons and plays golf, tennis, baseball, basketball and football. Because he is so athletic, Karnes is excited about performing some of his own stunts on Team Knight Rider. He sees playing Kyle Stewart as a challenge, balancing the physical elements with the responsibility of being the team leader.
